Browse Without an Account

The program directory and guides can be used without creating an account or uploading a transcript. Program search filters operate in your browser. Your chosen filters can appear in the page URL so you can return to the same search.

Comparison selections stay in the current page and clear when it reloads. The site does not submit those selections to a school.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use DegreeCompletion.com, including which pages they visit and how they interact with the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as page addresses, referring pages, browser and device details, and site interactions. Page addresses can include search filters or other query parameters in the URL.

Google processes this information to provide analytics services. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers.

Site Usage Analytics

We also use a site analytics service hosted on Convex to measure page visits, outbound link clicks, and interactions with embedded widgets. It stores a visitor identifier in local browser storage and a session identifier in session storage. The information sent includes the site hostname and page path, referring page, campaign tags, screen size, browser language, and time zone. Outbound click records can include the destination address and link text; widget interactions can include the embedded widget’s address and label.

These measurements help us understand site use and referral activity. Clearing browser storage removes the stored identifiers from that browser. For questions about these analytics practices, use the privacy contact below.

Your Practice Planner

The planner automatically saves your changes in this browser as you edit. This includes credit inputs, your chosen program and filters, course inventory, shortlist, notes, and an unfinished course entry. Returning in the same browser restores that draft. Incomplete numbers stay in the browser until you finish them. Use sample coursework and notes in this prototype. Leave out names, student IDs, birth dates, and other personal identifiers.

After you edit a valid plan or select “Save Now,” the site opens an anonymous authenticated session and automatically syncs your credit inputs, chosen program and filters, completed course entries, shortlist, notes, and the rule version to our dedicated Convex production database in the United States. An unfinished course entry stays in browser storage until you add it to your inventory. The save bar shows when changes are stored in this browser and when they have synced to the workspace. If the connection is unavailable, your browser draft remains available unless browser storage is blocked or cleared. The site stores session credentials in this browser so you can return to the same workspace. It does not ask for an email address or password.

Anyone using the same browser profile can reopen the local draft and workspace. Guest sessions expire after 30 days. Browser drafts do not automatically expire. Clearing browser storage removes the local draft and can lose access to the saved workspace. Switching browser profiles or losing the session can also prevent you from recovering the saved workspace. Clearing browser storage by itself does not delete a plan in the database. Keep a printed or PDF copy for your own records.

“Clear Data” asks for confirmation before removing the local planner draft and deleting your plan, course entries, notes, and guest authentication records from the application database. If workspace deletion cannot be confirmed, the planner reports that problem instead of claiming the workspace is cleared. After a successful clear, the planner returns to the sample numbers; those numbers are not saved again until you edit or choose “Save Now.” Deletion does not remove a PDF you already saved or a printed copy. Provider backups and operational records follow the provider’s retention processes. This prototype has no automatic expiration of saved plans.

Convex processes service requests and authentication to operate the planner. Authorized project administrators can access the production database. Review Convex’s privacy policy for its handling of service information. Saving a plan does not send your information to a school or submit it for AI transcript processing.

Program and policy links take you to external school websites. Those sites manage their own forms, account systems, and privacy practices. If you request information or send a transcript to a school, review that institution’s instructions and policies.

Page Delivery

Pages and fonts are served as site assets. The website host may process routine request information to deliver pages and maintain the service. A request can include the page address, browser information, and network address.
