A listed option must be an identified bachelor’s degree with official evidence of a relevant route for students with previous college coursework. A degree designed for returning students is labeled a degree completion route. A broader bachelor’s program that admits transfer students is labeled a transfer entry route.

How We Select Degree Completion Programs
Each guide begins with a particular reader need: a subject to finish, an online schedule, a return while working, a transfer-credit review, or a prior-learning assessment. We select exact degree offerings with verified entry, format, and curriculum evidence, then explain why each program belongs in that comparison.
Subject guides compare the curriculum and transfer route of each exact degree. The programs have no numbered quality rank. Every profile explains a reason to consider the program and a condition to check before applying, with links to the school’s own requirements.
These judgments apply to the reviewed shortlist. We do not represent them as an exhaustive national quality assessment, a prediction of admissions, or an individualized transfer decision. Institution-wide outcomes for first-time students are not treated as completion outcomes for returning adults.
The affordable-program ranking uses a different, mechanical ordering: published standard online tuition per semester credit, lowest first, with equal rates ordered alphabetically by institution. It uses the standard nonresident rate when prices differ by residency, and keeps fees, financial aid, and conditional discounts outside that ordering. Per-term prices require a separate workload scenario and are not mixed into the rate table.
Shorter terms and greater transfer allowances have conditions. An accelerated-course comparison does not predict the fastest graduation date, and a published transfer maximum does not establish which credits a particular student will receive. We keep those distinctions beside the relevant program details.
A Degree and Its Study Options Are Separate
A school can teach the same degree online and at a campus. The comparison keeps those offerings separate when location, attendance, entry requirements, or published tuition differs. Filters apply to the specific offering.
Campus-state filtering uses a verified teaching location. It does not treat the school’s headquarters as your place of attendance, or assume an online program can enroll a student in every state. Check location eligibility with the school before applying.
How the Program Facts Are Checked
Research begins with program identity and the institution’s own degree page. Federal education records can help identify an institution or subject, while official program and policy pages support the details you read in the comparison.
Entry criteria retain the units and conditions the school uses. A requirement expressed in completed courses stays expressed in courses. Transfer limits stay attached to their restrictions. Degree requirements distinguish total credits, major coursework, and credits that must be completed at the institution.
Tuition is shown with its published basis and any included conditions, such as per-credit or per-term billing and tuition residency. A rate is not a quote for your personal remaining cost. Conflicting rates are resolved against the applicable policy before they are used.
Sources, Dates, and Your Credit Evaluation
Every listed offering includes official source links and a date when its policies were checked. Schools can change admission, transfer, schedule, and price details, so use the linked current policy when you speak with an advisor.
Your transcript evaluation determines how accepted credits apply to your degree. Request a written list of remaining coursework before relying on a finish date or a cost estimate.
