UMGC distinguishes transfer from two-year and four-year institutions. CSU Global has an overall ceiling alongside separate community college and nontraditional-credit limits. Those category limits sit within the school’s policy, so adding them together would produce a misleading transfer estimate.
Make an inventory by original source: college courses, exams and assessed training. Retain the semester or quarter unit on each record. If another school already recognized an exam or credential, identify that award separately when requesting review so the new college can explain how it will be evaluated alongside your coursework.
Ask the evaluator to show which requirement each course fills: general education, the major, advanced study or an elective. A transcript with substantial introductory coursework can still leave upper-level subjects or a final project. Franklin requires its IT capstone at Franklin; UMGC requires part of the major and upper-level work through the university.
